Original Message We are paying more than 1/2 year's wages worth of taxes and yet there are people in our society having to sleep on the sidewalks in -30Celcius weather. Where the hell is all our money going? Politicians are hoarding and squandering our money!!! This is like a third world country when you are stepping around bodies on the sidewalk! WTF!!!!!!!!!!

They emptied the psychiatric hospitals and half way houses years ago because of "budget cuts" and the rents are astronomical in Ontario. The minimum wage cannot cover the rents, food, bus fares, etc., etc., and neither can welfare ($420 per month) nor for the disabled/infirm ($960 per month). A bachelor basement apartment, for instance, is like $700+ basically anywhere in Ontario. This is so screwed up.

I want to know where the hell all my money is going.........
