All the other schmucks will be wiped out, go bankrupt just when a global inflationary depression hits the whole global economy. Cryptos are mostly tied to fiat, if suddenly fiat hyperinflate to become actually worthless, or if cryptos are made unconvertible to any fiat, the Ponzi crypto gambling scam would collapse overnight, leaving behind all the dumbed down brainwashed purist cointards holders and the stuck wannabe rich quick bagholders. Not even mentioning the social meltdown as a result of many clueless idiots that would have lost third parties savings, that believed in their claims about paying them back double digits percentage return over their investment.
This makes zero sense. Fiat is on its last legs. Our children won’t even know what paper money looks like. As inflation hastens, the value of crypto will sky rocket. As Thiel said, BTC is how we store value so it’s analogous to gold except undervalued by 100x. I do believe there is fraud in stable coins but against the collapse of fiat, I’m rolling with crypto thank you very much. BTC could never drop to $4K for two important reasons; 1) Fiat is too weak. That $4K is in dollar terms and the dollar is imploding 2) There’s too much support for BTC even at the $20K level let alone $10K or $5K. Remember it’s not just held by crazy GLPers anymore. Now it’s held by hedge funds, pension funds, etc.
You are entirely underestimating the impact of leveraged margin accounts on the selling pressures to come, to include the pressure coming from near future world market sell offs. In my opinion this will wipe out all cryps with no utility value. XRP and XLM looked to be poised for survival, and prominence in any new system. Plenty more I'm sure I just haven't looked deep enough. Many exchanges will fold. Cream will rise. Raise cash and be ready to pounce if/when the brutal sell offs occur on these crypto's and lock em up in a wallet. Having money on exchanges is becoming too risky. Probably will need to buy assets like gold/silver right now, b/c when world markets collapse you won't be able to buy and delivery will be a roll of the dice. Cryps at least you can get in real quick and move the asset to your wallet.
MARGIN ... it didn't exist in previous sell offs of Cryptos, now it is everywhere and in LARGE amounts. Exchanges are going to FAIL People are going to be UPSIDE DOWN on their Margin Accounts and after their crypto is liquidated STILL OWE oodles of money The selling, when it comes it can become disorderly since Crypto is NOT a regulated exchange ... so NO Fed help for the various Crypto Houses I was around for the chaos in Chicago in 1987 ... it was BRUTAL there, much worse than on the more highly regulated stock exchanges. A Lot of those traders could NEVER AGAIN be traders again after that event because they went broke and had to declare bankruptcy, and once you do that sticking a regulated exchange or clearing house with a LOSS you can never again be a "trader". The Crypto World is getting set up for being a clone of those 4 days in Chicago in 1987 ... but unlike Chicago which had the FED come in and rescue the clearing houses such is NOT going to happen with Crypto. IF you want to hold Crypto ... get it out of those dam clearing houses and into your own wallet on YOUR own computer!! (but use a separate computer that is ONLY on the internet when you actually make a trade) Going to be an interesting summer/fall
Exactly cointards don’t understand with margin they can literally pay fiat to lower the price. They can pump in a billion to lower the price regardless of who holds. Think of it as people saying I’ll borrow a coin at 30K and sell it back to you at 100. These transactions lower the price and exchanges must allow it. All that funny fed money is being spent well dropping alternatives to zero.
