that show how out of context this JFK speech to the press is presented by apologists, conspiracy theorists and truthers.

My question; Why is it always misrepresented?

TL:DR / synopsis

JFK was telling the press to be more secretive, not the opposite - which is the usual message put out -

"The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; .."

The fact that the speech went on to present the Cold War as 'covert, undeclared warfare', targeting the USSR at that time, yet transposing to our struggle against the CCP currently, is interesting to me.
