Ukrainian intelligence: "Russia may use nuclear weapons against the Armed Forces". "It is possible that Russia will use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. They will try to stop our offensive and destroy our state," the head of Ukrainian intelligence said in an interview with ITV News. He noted that this is a danger for the rest of the world. Allegedly the explosion of tactical nuclear weapons could affect not only the Ukrainian territory, but also the entire Black Sea region. "We remember the history of Chernobyl. We may have another catastrophe on our territory, in Eastern Europe," said a high-ranking Ukrainian serviceman. The consequences of weapons of mass destruction will affect Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey and other countries, Skibitsky listed. https://military.pravda.ru/news/1752107-razvedka_ukrainy_rossija_vozmozhno_primenit_jadernoe_oruzhie/
Any news about "NATO Ukrainian special forces secretly land at Zaporozhye nuclear power plant" ? Is that true or rumor ? Thx
You mean September 1? The AFU command made a desperate attempt to seize the Zaporizhzhia NPP on the eve of the IAEA mission's arrival. The storming of the facility took place on the night of September 1 and ended in a crushing fiasco. According to the well-known blogger Yuri Podolyaka, the operation was planned and carried out with the direct participation of British special services. However, it did not help Kiev to succeed. The blogger attributes the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the awareness of the Russian Armed Forces command about the prepared operation. Because of this, the Russian troops were able to lure the enemy into a trap, allowing only an advanced detachment of Ukrainian landing troops to land on the left bank of the Dnieper. Having waited for two barges with the main force of several hundred men to leave Nikopol, they opened fire. As a result, both ships were sunk and the landing troops were destroyed. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike at Nikopol, where a third wave of landing troops was being prepared. "The total losses of Ukrainian forces in this operation have already exceeded 300 people killed, and these are not reservists and not just the AFU, this is the elite - special operations forces and special forces," Podolyaka said on the air of the program "Big Game." It is noteworthy that under certain circumstances Kiev could have come out the winner of this story. If the Ukrainian special forces of the first wave seized the pier and the barges reached the shore, the control over the Zaporizhzhya NPP could have been taken over by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There were enough forces to do this. The fighters from Nikopol would have occupied the perimeter and then it would have been very difficult to dislodge the Ukrainians. On the eve of the IAEA mission's arrival, such a development would have been Kiev's most high-profile success in the entire UAS. "Actually, the plan was very beautiful, just like the landing of Russian special forces in Gostomel. But the Russian special forces landed spectacularly, beautifully - and won. And here, mostly due to the leaking of information there was a complete, total defeat, "- summed up the blogger. Earlier, the military expert Viktor Baranets told what goal was pursued by the Ukrainian landing force, trying to seize the Zaporizhzhya NPP. https://24tnews.ru/20220902/24132-totalnyi-razgrom-elitnye-soldaty-vsy-popalis-v-lovyshky-pri-desante-na-zaes/
To be honest, I know squat all about the battle. I see the larger global implications but the day to day wins and loses for both sides 'meh' above my non paygrade. SO carry on. I can't ban AC's because that would ban them in total from other threads. And I have no personal bans. So, for the great posters there...carry on, or better yet, start another.
