It produced TWO, neither of which -thankfully- were Earth-facing.  But the energy released can still cause both psychological and phsyical issues for many people, hence my warning.

As for your question? Since we are all pretty much powerless to combat them, I [u]don't[/u] fear them. But preparing yourself mentally for a cataclysmic event can make a HUGE difference in your survival success rate!

And if I can get just ONE person to start taking solar activity more seriously, then this thread has served its intended purpose.
