A trans-identified biological male has been elected to chair the Rhode Island Democratic Women's Caucus. Donnie Anderson, formerly known as Donald, only came out as a "woman" in 2018 at the age of 69.

Aside from being a vocal LGBTQ activist, the Providence, RI resident serves as a minister at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in nearby New Bedford, Massachusetts, Reduxx reports.
