Five people were shot, including a young girl, near a parade in New Orleans on Sunday during the lead-up to Mardi Gras.
The shooting, along the route of the traditional Krewe of Bacchus parade, injured the girl, a woman and three men, including one who was later pronounced dead, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The other four victims were in stable condition, police said Monday.
