Most will ignore this go around. They failed by waiting so long in between pandemics.
When TV tells the UK to go get it 80 to 90% will go and get it. i was there in the uk when people came out of their houses at 8:00 at night and stood in the street and applauded the NHS. They literally clapping into the night sky. it was fucking cringe. They would ask me 'you coming out to clap tonight' I'd just give them clint eyes and they'd fuck off and stop talking.
The Thursday night clap at 8 Where a friend of mine lives, it used to start around 2pm. Had a bar set up in the street, paddling pools, usually went on till about 2 in the morning. :lmao:
It was like a scene from Invasion of the body snatchers. We'd be sat inside the house minding our own business, and suddenly we could hear all this clapping from outside. You'd go upstairs and look out of the bedroom window and they'd all be stood in the street just outside their front doors, grinning and nodding at each other, clapping and clapping and clapping..they'd be looking up into the sky and looking around just clapping - really fast clapping as well, not that lazy ass clapping you do at weddings or panto's, but frenzied clapping It was fucking scary man. You were stuck in your house until they stopped and sloped off back inside, and it didn't stop all at once. it'd just die off slowly until there was only one sad fucker left clapping away...eventually some impulse dragged him back inside (probably the 'attend now' signal that's emitted before Eastenders starts) and if you left the house and didn't clap, they'd do that Donald Sutherland stare and begin to point then roar at you... Don't know how many of us there are left who aren't taken-over but we can't be many now.. Crazy times.
