If you remove the word "literally" you still convey the same message:

What if you used "figuratively" instead of literally?

We are figuratively headed to World War III.

sounds stupid right? - So does "literally".


People who use the world literally in a sentence are just sheep who learned it from other sheep

The word "literally" does nothing to enhance your emphasis on your message/sentence.

It just shows you were raised among TARDS.
