[quote:Anonymous Coward 461325:MV81Njg1NjBfODY4MTY1OV8yMDRBNjQ1QQ==] [quote:sleepy head 454544] well, i am sure that the steady actors would love to get into another income stream. let's say you're a regular supporting actor. you have no say over what products get endorsed, cause the studio gets the dough. well why not the actor? if i want to promote ibc root beer, then i should get the ad money, not the studio.
They get enough money and most of the are untalented, useless, whining creatures. Media is the next industry to get downsized, and it's about freakin' time. They are employees and nothing more, they don't make the ad deals, or market the media, or write the script.....they don't deserve what they get now.
one of the sticking points with the actors guild,
is product placement.
oh, and residuals too. but the studios want
to deep six the residuals, for good.
so i understand that.
but product placement?
that's kind of funny.
"hey, i got an endorsement deal with Martha Stewart,
and i gotta use her colors."
