Original Message You know, people who live in a "bowl" with a large body of water (the gulf) and rivers, should do so at their own risk.
Taxpayers should not have to rebuild these areas, time and time again.
There is no safe "paradise" without some big drawback which is dangerous and deadly.
Sure, who wouldn't want to live in CA, New Orleans, Florida, etc., where the climate is sunny all the time, except those times once a year when they get wiped out.
We have to shovel snow once a year, but we have all of the seasons and the government never has to rebuild entire cities.

Live in those places at your own risk!
