[quote:Slartybartfast:MV83MjczMDRfMTE0Nzk4NDlfNTlERjVDNUI=] It's funny that, I haven't been here much lately but I been thinking all week about this very thing. How "reality" might be perceived as fluid or dreamlike and only as real as it is because of the merit you give to it. It's as real as your mind wants it to be. It's hard to explain. As far as the truth goes I concluded I no longer want to be seeking the truth, I want to be smack bang in the middle of it. All part of the reason. I also though it's a quirky notion to believe that the past is the past and cannot be changed but the future, now that you can change. Which in a way would mean that reality is a ongoing creation being made up as we go along, then falling into the past becoming only memories and were no one can go, so what was real is no more, only that which you can currently experience can be called real. That which has not yet occurred is also not real yet because it is not being experienced, so reality is only a state which exists within you now and that ,sometimes ,feels almost dreamlike. My head hurts. :synC: ps:EDITED, sry magi. [/quote]
Reality, and all it entails, is like a GOVERNMENT (legal fiction)... Insomuch as its validity only remains so long as it is not questioned.
It's rigidity only remains as long as you choose not to bend it. It's solidity only if you do not break it.
But when you realize this, it becomes fluid, and the deeper the realization, particulate... And Even deeper - ONE vibration.
Pleasures may be derived from when leaving it alone and participating as is in the various things it can offer... But to understand and alter it begets something so much more fulfilling
credit to William S. Burroughs and maybe even Marco Polo for spreading the dubious tale of Hassan I Sabbah, the old man of the mountain.
