[quote:Anonymous Coward 607985:MV83Mjk5NTVfMTExOTA1NzhfMTE5Q0VGQTg=] I was in various programs throughout my 12 years. Some are innocent, the ones run by smaller schools or the district, but the programs administered by colleges are very much so recruitment tools. The Johns Hopkins Young Scholars was extremely uncomfortable.
I went to TAG school after extensive IQ testing when I was 4. I lived in a small rural community and went to a TAG program that took students from across the county. We did things like dissections, psychologically based journaling (how do you feel about/when xyz), speed reading, computer programming etc like in the 3rd grade. I cant remember much more. We went 3 days a week all day in a public school system.
Now this was a VERY POOR rural community that provided this for students....
Any thoughts GLP?
