[quote:Duncan Kunz:MV83NDM1MjhfMTE0MTc5MjNfMTQxQjI3RTg=] [quote:himself] He was on a 47 knuckle head HD Not a Yamaha Virago like the pictures since posted show. Yammie is stable and gots great shocks. Knuckle is rigid frame and transmits all bumps to rider. Have owned and ridden both.
Good eye, bro! However, it's not called a Virago any more, but the "son of Virago", a 2007 V-Star 1100. And like its daddy, the V-star is bulletproof, although there are a couple of silly things, like you have to take off the #2 exhaust pipe and loosen the LH floor board to remove the oil filter (I have a oil-filter relocation kit (ORK) , as do most people who own the bike). But other than that, it's stable, and even though it still has carbs rather than efi, it seems to work okay at altitudes of up to 8000'. Unfortunately, I think the 2009 model will be the last one; Mamma Yamma is already phasing in belt-drive, liquid cooled EFI bikes to replace the air-coolder, shaftie, carbureted models like mine. But I love the retro look, especially since I just got a set of Metzeler 880 white sidewalls.
Concealed Carry Handgun.
I'll naturally have my favorites from years of use.
I promise to try to be objective.
Hopefully others will also.
First posts by me with be solely to inform about easy to conceal choices in largest caliber, smallest gun in that caliber, first.
