[quote:Anonymous Coward 751168:MV84NjM0NTBfMTMzNzA1ODNfNkI0Q0M0QTY=] [quote:Anonymous Coward 751168] There is no way the camera facing the opposite lane could get your plate. Thats what Im saying. It is a four lane with a Median and the opposite late is too far away for that camera to get your tag. No, it isn't. Regardless, the cameras are set up so that a photo is taken of both the the front and rear plates, in addition to the face of who was driving the vehicle. In a lot of places, officials don't care who was driving...it was your car so you still get stuck paying the fine unless the person who was driving is willing to come forward and admit they were the one driving. If it not, then it goes on your record and you probably won't be loaning your vehicle out to anyone again. I guess Im not making myself clear. The only way they could get a picture of my plates with the camera angled the way it is, I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE ONE ON THE FRONT OF MY CAR. This is a FOUR LANE HWY with EACH LANE SEPARATED BY A MEDIAN ABOUT 15 FT. WIDE. The cameras are angled facing down at oncoming traffic on each opposite side at the light, and each to far away to get the plate of leaving traffic in the other lane.
Oh and this is the OP, I changed browsers, IE was too slow, and now Im on Mozilla. I dont know why my number changes?
Hey all, I wasnt much into the conspiracy scene when they first started using Red Light cameras, so I dont know if there was much debate about them. But the other day I was on a Four lane Hwy, that has the opposite coming traffic seperated by a median.
When I stopped at the stop light and looked up. The camera was facing directly at the front of the cars at the light. If a car runs that light, there is no way the camera could get the license plate. So why are they there? I started looking after that. And they are all like that. except at four ways without a median.
I thought these cameras were specificlly meant to catch traffic violations?
