[quote:Anonymous Coward 76363753:MV84NzI1OTBfNzY1NzcwNjFfMTNGNTUxMzA=] Do you get to experience the magical 'snow day' experience where you race to the radio or TV and see that list of closures hoping yours is included or perhaps you find out everyone gets to stay home but you because your boss is mean? Where would you fall on the 'How Many Inches of Snow It Takes To Shut School Across The US' map that's on Reddit? I live in the slightly dark green zone the one that is 1 inchin Oregon as far north as we are we suck at snow removal and it's funny seeing the videos in Seattle WA when the bus tries to rev up the hill only in futile. The faster you rev the faster you slide back down. Do you live in a green zone where the slightest bit would make everyone around you do a 'French Toast'run? I'd like to the map but crosslinking is not allowed on here. In Chicago they have over 200 official snowploughs and that only counts city owned ones and only METRO part of Chicago not the suburbs or privately owned ones. In Buffalo it's even more insane! Hello!
I have been living in this world for some time now.
I came from a place also named Earth, much like this planet. There are a number of differences between my home and yours.
I thought it would be interesting to share a few things with you that are relatively common knowledge where I am from. My reasons for doing so will probably be more apparent in the future.
* Consciousness does not exist (but relationships do)
* Matter is gravity that has been structured
* We are not human (we are perspectives)
* When the totality of something cannot be grasped, it appears infinite.
* Space is not physical
* There is no "now" or "here", but relationships.
We use a kind of language like you use numbers here. Numbers, representations of abstract concepts, were 'invented' to work more easily with the world around us. Our language is no different.
If it were invented today it would probably be thought of as existing in parallel with science. A new kind of science.
This language also enables the shifting of perspective like a kind of mental technology. Some of you may find it quite interesting.
If anyone is interested in learning more please let me know.
Thanks.
