Original Message A homeless Florida man was hospitalized after his face was set on fire by another homeless man during a fight over beer.

Daytona Beach police said Dean Allen Fultz suffered serious burns after a fight broke out over beer, cigarettes and money in the backyard of a home where several men were drinking Saturday, the Associated Press reports.

The 47-year-old was knocked down during the fight by John Harper, 42, who then dragged Fultz into a wooded area before pouring gasoline on his face and lighting it on fire.

Fultz managed to run out of the woods where a bystander helped to put out the fire. He was airlifted to an Orlando hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Harper was charged with felony attempted murder. Both he and Fultz have lengthy criminal records for public intoxication, open containers and sleeping in public areas.

Gives new meaning to getting fired up.
