Original Message What ever happened to armies going out to battle other armies in a field? The honorable way to fight a battle? One army would amass their troops on the one side, and the other army on the other side, then they rush eachother...like in the movie Braveheart?

Wasn't that the honorable way to fight, if you must fight, to protect innocent civilians?

The winner would be who had the most left standing after the battle.

How come we don't do this anymore? Why not do it and protect civilians from weapons of mass destruction, and as we have seen in tghe middle east, with thousands of innocent civilians being slaughtered?

What ever happened to honor?
