Original Message Wow panic time!

First GLP database went down

then landlines and with them, DSL went down

then AT&T wireless lost all signals here on Kauai

Wireless service just came back but landlines still down pretty much island wide. There is dial tone but all calls result in busy signal.

We're having misty sprinkles but no real rain and no wind and no distruption of sattelite TV. Found it odd that 2 different providers, one mobile and one landline both went down at once. I was able to make some calls from my iPhone but I was the only one of our family to even get 1 bar. When I called Hawaiian Telcom, they had no idea the outage was so wide spread and when I got throught to AT&T, several hours after the problem started, they didn't even know there was a problem!

WTF is going on?
