A twelve -years-old girl was who triggered the alarm of Juan Fernandez archipelago, after the earthquake in Chile. Through it, she warned the villagers about the arrival of a tsunami.

OK I can find a complete version in English but it goes like this:

it was 3:40 am and the girl feels a small quake on the Island Robinson Crusoe on the Juan Fernandez archipelago hundreds of miles south of Chile. She wake up his father and insist him to call his grand father on Valparaiso. Fortunately the phone line works and the grand father told his son about this huge EQ they just have. At that moment the girl looks at her window and notice how some boats get shaken on the beach so she run to the Plaza and use a huge Gong they have for this emergencies and wake up all the 600 people of the little town.
