Debate on Jobs Bill in U.S. House--Is It About Jobs or Not?

Yes, the debt thing is EXTREMELY WORRISOME.

Rep Pete Sessions (R, Dallas) just complained that the Democrats did not come and "explain the bill" to the Republicans in committee.

Can they not read?

I am listening to the Republicans, and they do have some very good points.

I just thought it funny how the Congressmen's comment made it sound like he was unable to read.

I just hope they can continue to stall this crap! Last thing we need is more debt and spending. Spain lost two jobs for every "green" job created. While I am sure Obama would be just tickled pink with such results, those of us paying the bill are not.

Hold Out, Repubs! Don't give in to the destruction of the Republic by these lunatics running Washington known as the Obama Administration.

I for one and getting so pissed that every little thing this Congress is dealing with is taken as some sort of National Emergency that absolutely must be dealt with this exact minute as if some 10 mile diameter asteroid were screaming in for impact to Earth from Saturn at 1,000,000 miles per hour. Everything is being done ina fucking PANIC mode.

Congress is supposed to be a deliberative body, not a fracking Knee Jerk reactionary chicken with its head cut off.

It is better that Congress pass no bills than it pass bad bills.

No one is assuming the bill will be passed today, just DISCUSSED today.

They are just asking people (Congressmen, especially) to get busy doing their jobs, reading the bill and talking about it. Instead they'd rather complain about how the other side introduced it, etc. Picking and finding fault.

A big waste of the people's time.

Instead of doing that they act like elementary school kids who would rather not read and just talk and criticize others in order to avoid doing any work.

They talk more about each others' tactics than they do about the contents of the bill.

House Rules which the House has passed, dictate that any given piece of legislation and amendments be online for the public to read for a couple of days, not a couple of hours.

All some is saying is "we have this rule which is law, it is time we upheld the rule and followed the law we set down."

The People want Congress accountable to the People to obey its own rules and laws.

Those that talk about closing down the IRS don't seem to realize the Federal Govenment DOES NEED some agency to collect the Federal Taxes, just what do they desire the IRS to be replaced with? As to the FRS, I think it should just be Nationalized (IMHO).
