[link to fulldisklosure.org] funny, that NASA puts a satellite telescope up to search for dark objects in the very direction PX is supposed to be at the very time PX is supposed to show up... and its apparently discovering a debris field that was previously unknown? (...but nothing to see here because PX is just a figment of our imaginations...) Hmm isnt it amazing that it hasnt seen PX yet, might have something to do with the million mile long dust cloud that cloaks the planet..or the aliens are hiding it behind the sun..or BECAUSE IT ISNT FUCKING THERE! Cheers. ----------------------------- "Shit, if this is gonna be that kind of party, I'm going to stick my dick in the mashed potatoes." WISE will also target dim "failed stars" called brown dwarfs that outnumber ordinary stars by a wide margin. Mapping brown dwarfs in the Milky Way may reveal much about the structure and evolution of our own galaxy. And this could be just the beginning of the discoveries scientists make once WISE puts the spotlight on stealthy denizens of the dark. [link to science.nasa.gov] |

Quoting: VestanPanceI understand orbital mechanics. No aliens are hiding an entire planet. Thats just silly. Dude, its only been looking 6 weeks and, in all truthfulness, it is the only device up there capable of even seeing something that doesn't radiate enough energy to be in the visible spectrum. Since NASA is the only organization setup to see the arrival of an object that is not radiating energy in the visible spectrum, do you think they are actually going to tell us when they find it? PX might not even be exactly a 2012 event, either. |

They can now be seen with an orbital telescope sensitive in the infrared. sorry just found the wording funny.. |
Sol Hyperion (OP) User ID: 697114 United States 03/06/2010 10:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think we cant see PX coz its a dark star ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 529850and its definately in the area Just my tuppence worth Its hard to say something is just "in the area" when you are talking about large bodies that have lots of mass and have to orbit. I am NOT a follower of any idea that PX can just be floating around out there or that its under some kind of intelligent control like a spaceship. I think thats just silly. But it is very interesting to me that NASA would pick this time to place a telescope that is specifically engineered to see this kind of event ... and then immediately finds what must be a debris field filled with asteroids that we cannot see with the naked eye. There are no COINCIDENCES. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 905071and its definately in the area Just my tuppence worth Who ever said planet x is a planet or even a rock hell solid in anyway I believe PX is a brown dwarf that has at least one planet orbiting it. |

So its an object thats around 15 times the mass of Jupiter then?? That object would be clearly visible to most telescopes, it would have been well photographed and documented by Amateur astronomers the world wide. Cheers. ----------------------------- "Shit, if this is gonna be that kind of party, I'm going to stick my dick in the mashed potatoes." Thats just it... a brown dwarf is not going to be easily seen by anything that doesn't pick up that frequency. Brown Dwarfs do not radiate very much energy at all and they reflect none. We see most planets, asteroids and comets because of reflected energy. We can then measure the spectrum of that part of the light that is reflected to get a good idea of the composition of that object. We can't do that with a brown dwarf. And these asteroids that were just discovered PROVE there are many objects out there that are not immediately detectable. |
