I agree with you. In your original post you said that Max seemed a little upset. Nope, this is Max Keiser, he is the most blunt, honest, and hysterical person out there who discusses economics. Search his name on google video and watch other interviews. You might end up crying with laughter. I really like the man! |

Ok, some tens thousands did went to the protests, but 98% of the people are really angry (actually all the ones that are not banksters or really rich people). For example, I cannot go to the protests because if I do that I might get fired (I am not a civil servant, so I don't have this luxury), so I don't go. I have a Masters degree in Electronics & Software Eng. and I get paid for 1100€ per month which will go down because of the new measures. I am not in the worst situation though. There are other people that are in worst situations, that they work for 600€ per month and for 10-12 hours per day and these people cannot go to a protest either, though they have serious problem in surviving under these circumstances. All the people are getting more and more angry. If you were here, you'll understand what I am saying. People are getting mad and are very close to their limits of revolting, even as separate units and not as organized movement. |

Quoting: AyreonI have a family member who is a doctor on one of the islands and can barely pay their bills. I have three other family members who made their last trip to Greece last September and told me that when they went into a coffee shop, the bill for their coffees had to be on the table for when the "inspectors" came to make sure that taxes had been paid. I know that you are telling the truth! |

When some people will start to losing their jobs and houses, then many of them will start using their hunting shotguns on policemen and bank employees that come to confiscate their homes on behalf of some bank! By the way, after the influx of illegal immigrants from Albania, AK47s started to appear in many houses. |

According to Nostradamus, Greece will be the bulwark of the western world in WW3. The French will turn the tide, and lead the victory against the Red Crecent. LOL, now that you mention that, since the election of the new government we have turkish ships approaching the Greek Capital (Athens) and trespassing Greek territorial waters (they don't do a so called "safe passage" since they are with active radars and active weapons!!!!) a few miles away from Athens!!! The Greek Army officials do worry about that, because these ships are contacting a "test" in the air defense of Athens, and they cannot act as they would want to because of the situation in Turkey (Islamists vs Military). We had many of these incidents in the past few months. I should also point out that until a few days ago we had a French aircraft carrier (Charles De Gaul) having exercises with Greek aircrafts in the Aegean Sea. The French carrier is in Cyprus now. |

Ostria User ID: 916458 Greece 03/17/2010 05:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Max Keiser prompts Greeks to revolt against their corrupt government and Goldman Sachs banksters! ***PIN THIS PLEASE*** The fact is that the protests and strikes are limited so far. Mostly orginized by certain unions and political parties and the fight is focused on their very specific interests. Unless people realise that we are all in this together (drawn in the same shit) and start demanding REAL CHANGE and ACCOUNTABILITY of all those who handled this country for the last 20 years (at least) and I dont mean just the politicians-, no real change will occure, at least not for our and our country's benefit. Yes people are angry, but also trapped in everyday needs and worries, even more today than lets say 2 years ago. And if we really get rid of our "corrupted" government (via elections) i dont see an alternative that could make a difference. Nothing worth voting exists right now. And I m afraid, that if we reach this point that no government gets elected and everything is stuck and confused, things can become even worse (our history has taught us this). On the other hand, I really believe this is not only our problem. It is just us that we are of the first ones to realise it. And even if we fail, we will probably survive better than others. On a side note, I was wondering what the hell is going on with all these attacks lately against Greece from our "allies" and especially Germany. And only yesterday I posted in another thread that we will finally get a loan (with lower rates or guarantees) in April which will probably go to pay back older loans and on defence. Today I heard from the defence minister that we finally agreed (after much push - I guess Papandreou discussed this along with Merkel these days) to purchase the problematic submarine (papanikolis) along with 3 others we have already ordered from the Germans -Howaldtswerke-Deutche Werft in Kiel- (1,47 billion Euros in total). This one we will try to sell again to someone else because we dont want it as it seems to have problem in the hydraulic system. You get it, dont you? This world is beautiful, angel-like modeled! Indeed! |
