Canadian astronaut, has see actually been in space.if we can see stars from earth,i can't see why not from space,in fact it was supposed to be clearer from space, that's why they have Hubble in space.

Re: Canadian astronaut admits"there are no stars!"
stars are big exploding balls of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium. at least that is what i have read. don't know for sure. what op says is very interesting. makes sense about the stars not really being there or shuttles would be running into them wouldn't they. so what we see isn't really there.

Shuttles running into them??

They're suns and they're really really really really far away dude.

It was easier for the Hosts to 'cloak our planet', rather than to cloak all of their ships......or so I am told!

This is why the scriptures contain the prophecy of the "Stars falling from heaven".......cause one day, they're going to show up in our closer proximity! :)
 Quoting: ObeWayneKenobe

Genesis 1
[The Beginning]

14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

If we take the words of the bible literally, the stars-smaller lights and larger lights-sun/moon were made long after the Earth had already been created.

"lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth"

Notice it also says that the small stars are in "the expanse of the sky", not in the heaven further away. Maybe there really is a dome of close-by transparent stars after all.

It used to be called the firmament.

Surely you can find a bible reference to that.

I'll tell you a little secret.

Once I did a dose of DMT during a full moon eclipse.

I thought I would see the stars as they really are, the vastness of space and all that stuff.

Instead, I looked up and saw the underbelly of a snake studded with jewels. It was very unsettling.

Made me wonder just what was going on up there!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 893276

Genesis 1

6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky."

16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness.

So what is said here, the Sun and the Moon are set high up in the close-by expanse of the sky. Above the Sun, Moon and stars in the expanse of the sky, is a large amount of water.

This strangely is what Flat-Earth believers teach, that the Sun, Moon and stars are actually much closer to Earth, and are far smaller in size than science officially teaches.

On thurs. March 18th, Canadian astronaut Roberta Bondar was interviewed on GlobalTVEdmonton that once in space one discovers that there are no stars! The twinkling stars we see from Earth can not be seen in space, it is all just a black void. NOTHINGNESS! She states that any exploration to Mars would be very difficult for astronauts mentally. They would see absolutely nothing until reaching Mars. Kind of like having to cross a gymnasium in total darkness while knowing that there is a door at the other end. Scary thought,no? So, what is the reality of the stars we see? Also she states, and confirms, that there are structures on the moon that have been there for thousands of years awaiting discovery(acknowledgment)that will shock the world. Look up "ancient structures on the moon", these vids have existed for some time now, but no astronaut admitted to this prior to her. She also says privatized space travel more likely than any Nasa flight. The trip can only be handled by a few because of the effects on the human body during space flight. Does'nt sound like a trip I'd enjoy. I believe this interview still available to view at GlobalTVEdmonton.

ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT

The human eye can register light far better than our feeble cameras. If you're in space and take a look into the "void" you'll be able to see things only few can imagine.

Of course.. this nutjob says there are no stars and then rambles on about structures on the moon.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 920852

So interesting you should ask/say that... A few years ago I actually had a deep sense of that very thing. Oddly enough, a few days later, my daughter, who goes to work in the wee hours of the morning, made the comment of how the stars looked different. I told her that things* seem to have shifted somehow, like one day the stars seemed* so real and how the night sky felt* like a hologram... literally hollow. The stars did not feel like they had any life in them any more.
I feel/sense this to this day... <<<twilight zone music>>>

The Earth's atmosphere acts like a giant lens that amplifies the light of the stars to us on the surface. Once you are outside of the 'lens', you cannot see the stars.

The Sun's extreme brightness dominates everything out there. It's not dimmed because there is no dust or atmosphere in the way. So the atronauts have to close the shutters on their helmets or reduce the sensitivity of cameras.
That's why background lights, i.e. Stars, cannot be seen or photographed.
Imagine standing on a footballfield with the Floodlights turned on. Naow look at the sky. How many Stars would you see? Take s foto of the sky, ehat would it look like?

OP is a hoser who has difficulty in comprending articulate intelligent people like Roberta Bondar
[link to www.globaltvedmonton.com]
She says that stars DONT TWINKLE in space, which is true as there is no atmospheric disturbance to create the effect.

As for Lunar discoveries that await science, she makes no reference to 'structures'... her point is that there is a definite scientific reward to be found in returning to the moon in terms of the geochemistry and geophysical findings that would be available if there were a lunar base.

Don't make your fellow Candians look like idiots OP, there are a lot of good scientific minds there...............
