Canadian astronaut admits"there are no stars!"
On thurs. March 18th, Canadian astronaut Roberta Bondar was interviewed on GlobalTVEdmonton that once in space one discovers that there are no stars! The twinkling stars we see from Earth can not be seen in space, it is all just a black void. NOTHINGNESS! She states that any exploration to Mars would be very difficult for astronauts mentally. They would see absolutely nothing until reaching Mars. Kind of like having to cross a gymnasium in total darkness while knowing that there is a door at the other end. Scary thought,no? So, what is the reality of the stars we see? Also she states, and confirms, that there are structures on the moon that have been there for thousands of years awaiting discovery(acknowledgment)that will shock the world. Look up "ancient structures on the moon", these vids have existed for some time now, but no astronaut admitted to this prior to her. She also says privatized space travel more likely than any Nasa flight. The trip can only be handled by a few because of the effects on the human body during space flight. Does'nt sound like a trip I'd enjoy. I believe this interview still available to view at GlobalTVEdmonton.

ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT

The human eye can register light far better than our feeble cameras. If you're in space and take a look into the "void" you'll be able to see things only few can imagine.

Of course.. this nutjob says there are no stars and then rambles on about structures on the moon.

stars are big exploding balls of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium. at least that is what i have read. don't know for sure. what op says is very interesting. makes sense about the stars not really being there or shuttles would be running into them wouldn't they. so what we see isn't really there.

I think he wanted to say the stars we see now have already exploded, but as they are much light years away we can only see them now. It's the only possible explanation. This interview was not well understood I think.

Dr. Bondar,

When you look out into space, away from the earth, what do you see? Do you see points of light in every direction? Can you discern up and down? When you look down (I suppose this would be really interesting for a person performing a space walk) how does it feel to be standing on nothing?

Bondar: First of all, the stars do not twinkle because we're above the atmosphere so they are basically holes of dead light and lots of them. Once one gets dark-adapted in space there are kajillions of stars.

And all this light is so far away that some of the sources of the light may already have vanished because it takes of tens of thousands maybe millions of years for that light to reach us. I felt I was in a futuristic vehicle very much in the present but looking at light from the past, a canvas of the sky representing the past life of the universe.

Light cannot be "seen" unless it is either refecting off of something or you are looking directly at the source.

I do not see how being in space would make any difference.

But then again, Ive never been in space.

A Moon that is placed here and doesnt do what a natural satellite should do rotate but is locked and sounds like a bell, stars that are seen only trough the filter of our magnetic field what more aliens who use us as food? galactic overlords that use earth as a sort of terminal prison??.. peace

The Sun's extreme brightness dominates everything out there. It's not dimmed because there is no dust or atmosphere in the way. So the atronauts have to close the shutters on their helmets or reduce the sensitivity of cameras.
That's why background lights, i.e. Stars, cannot be seen or photographed.
Imagine standing on a footballfield with the Floodlights turned on. Naow look at the sky. How many Stars would you see? Take s foto of the sky, ehat would it look like?

peace
