Had a toothache and used Clove oil - HOLY CRAP!

You can buy Now brands or in my area they have RED CROSS brand Eugenol which is the chemical name for CLOVEOIL,,, it usually comes in a package that is red and white and is packaged with a small bottle of eugenol and cotton buds and tweezers for application,,,and this is usually found at CVS,RITEAID,wallgreens any pharmacy usually carries it ask for clove oil or eugenol,,,but if you really want relief go to a herb store and get PURE CLOVE OIL or PURE EUGENOL its close to 100%pure but you have to be really careful cause it can destroy your gums but the relief is worth it when you are having extreme pain,,,but the rite aid brand eugenol is great too so if you cant find A herbalist just go get some of it,,its usually 85% eugenol so it does the trick,,,peace

Great site. His formulas are fantastic. I have them shipped from Florida to Calif. Very very reasonable and my teeth have been saved.

Also recommend a way to strengthen and heal gums. Buy the 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide ( not the kind in the pharmacy - you have to really find this). Do a dilution of 1:11 and keep it handy near the Bathroom sink. A Q Tip dipped in this twice a day to clean the gums, not only cleans the bacteria, but whitens the teeth. Just awesome.

Most Natural Health food stores will carry these oils. The Bulk Barn in Canada also. Plus check out Whole Foods Store.

Generally speaking when using essential oils, the rule of thumb is to mix with some carrier oil. At home you can use olive oil, grapeseed oil, & also I have used pure aloe vera gel when using oils topically.

ever heard of getting a tooth ache when your out in the boonies or on vacation or someplace inaccessible to a dentist? Every heard of Dentists being busy & you can't get in right away???

if you're worried about gums, use a q-tip to apply it...had a terrible toothache 2 months ago, used clove oil and haven't help a thing since...*knocking on wood*

I just had my first cleaning in a long time due to fear and my mouth feels amazing. Also having my wisdom teeth out next week. Since I am back on track a friend recommended oregano oil...you only need a drop on a finger tip and you rub it all over your gums. Your mouth feels incredibly clean after.It is a touch spicy at first but it goes away quickly to reveal a healthy feeling. Glad you were able to find some relief.

They pulled 7 teeth and I used a lot of weed, alcohol, ibuprofen and a bit of paracetamol...

After a week the pain was gone, lol...

Hello,
I have a wisdom tooth with an exposed nerve. It only bothers me if I chew on it or explore it with my tongue. Usually it will bother me for a few hours tops and worst case 2 Tylenol does the trick. Once the pain is gone I can go up to 2 weeks and no pain at all even if I try to make it hurt again with my tongue. I have been using mouth wash and brushing frequently to keep it from getting infected. The pain doesn't last long when I get it as mentioned but when I do I can tell it can get to a point where if more of that tooth decays or something moves that the pain would be unbearable.
I lived through the pain of a wisdom tooth dying about 7 years ago and since then that tooth healed up nice (well the gums). I fear I wont be able to handle that pain again and this time it might be much worse.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was something I could use to kill the nerve since I somewhat have access to it. Like maybe something in liquid form like clove oil or something else if clove oil wouldn't kill it.
I mean do dentists just snip and pull out the nerve?
