that makes me wonder if she was adopting the baby to replace the love lost with her relationship. this falls in line similarly to the person who jumps immediately into a relationship after a failed relationship. in most cases, this type of person is very insecure, internally, and/or has a history of a poor relationship with one or both parents (more commonly with the parent of the opposite sex).
