During the Valdez recovery of 1989, I made 30 bux an hour with virtually unlimited overtime. My brother in law who was good at Aluminum welding made 75 dollar an hour and worked 80 to 100 hours a week with overtime after 40. I think the per diem was around 40/day but hard to remember that long ago.
