Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says they have few ways to monitor anything in the Bering Sea. IOW, this did not occur in the Pacific.

How could they notify all the towns and villages along the Alaska coastline then? And what about the Kamchatka Peninsula?

Thats a biggie, and not where I would expect one.

Gonna go check and see if it showed up on the webicorders for the AVO.

EVALUATION

THIS EARTHQUAKE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE PACIFIC. NO TSUNAMI THREAT
EXISTS TO COASTLINES IN THE PACIFIC.

HOWEVER - EARTHQUAKES OF THIS SIZE SOMETIMES GENERATE LOCAL
TSUNAMIS THAT CAN BE DESTRUCTIVE ALONG COASTS LOCATED WITHIN
A FEW HUNDRED KILOMETERS OF THE EARTHQUAKE EPICENTER. AUTHORITIES
IN THE REGION OF THE EPICENTER SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS
POSSIBILITY AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.

THIS CENTER MONITORS ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF SEA LEVEL GAUGES
OUTSIDE THE PACIFIC SO IT MAY NOT BE ABLE TO QUICKLY DETECT OR
MEASURE A TSUNAMI IF ONE WAS GENERATED. AUTHORITIES CAN ASSUME
THE DANGER HAS PASSED IF NO TSUNAMI WAVES ARE OBSERVED NEAR THE

Way too far away for me to feel though. The webicorders are very very sensitive and pick up many small quakes that most of us can't feel here.

The quake that occurs along the Cali / Nevada border that reaches above 6.5 magnintude ... this quake is highly relevant!!!!!
