The problems facing the Greek people have been mostly caused by dishonest capitalists and a certain American Corporation who helped "cook the books" thus allowing a fraudulent entry into the the €uro monetary union.

You comment means nothing. If you think that socialism and communism are the same thing then you are mistaken. This is a thread about workers around the world and the preservation of the rights. If you think that workers should have less rights then say so. Which of yours will you surrender first. Remember that you will thus become less free. What sort of freedom is it you believe in?

We have "Labor Day" in the US - 1st Monday in September - we do not celebrate communist holidays.

And if you think that socialism and communism are not linked, you are either lying or EXTREMELY ignorant and uneducated.

All I said is that socialism and communism are not the same thing. The "link" is something you have mentioned. You can quote Mark and Lenin all you like, but that does not not mean that socialism and communism are the same thing at all. Quite the contrary in fact. If you intend to using communism to devalue the worth of socialism then go right ahead -you show us all something of your anti-socialism in the process.

Look, I'm trying to be positive and congratulate ALL workers around the world for the INTERNATIONAL holiday and the FREEDOMS and RIGHTS we have won over the years and continue to work for.

Very bad timing on your part to be promoting a socialist/communist holiday on a primarily American website. We are about to possibly see some of the worst riots in years in our country, inspired by socialists and communists promoting May day.

Be aware of your surroundings and audience before you post if you don't want to get flamed. Emotions are very high in the US right now.

Who knows - just because we see opposite in politics, doesn't mean we won't agree on other things. Some of my favorite people here on GLP are ones that I've had very heated arguements and debates with in the past. I may not agree with them but I respect their freedom to have them.

Freedoms & Rights of workers? That's so 1914. You should have seen how I was attacked for a proposal for sick days...
