MANHATTAN — An abandoned U-Haul on the Triboro bridge sparked a scare Wednesday night after witnesses reported the vehicle was leaking fuel, police said.
The bridge was shut down in both directions as the bomb squad inspected the U-Haul van, which was left just a few yards from the toll booths leading to Manhattan bridge about 10:15 p.m.
Police declared there was no threat just after midnight.
Witnesses claimed that they'd seen a person fleeing from the vehicle, according to NY1.

New York (CNN) -- New York authorities have determined that a moving truck abandoned on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, formerly known as Triborough Bridge, did not pose a threat.

There must have been something in that truck that was dangerous because the guy that was driving it ran away. They (the gov't) aren't telling us the entire story. Nobody drives up to a toll both of a major bridge in NYC and just runs away unless something was about to go down.

There's camera's everywhere these days. Every major intersection in my town has them. Every on ramp on the highway here has them. The highways themselves have cameras mounted on the overpasses, the bridges have cameras on them. NYC has cameras EVERYWHERE.
