Rescued a Kitten Today
Partially blind in one eye.

I am not a cat fan. (except on here, Love Ya, Acadian grin and b )

But, as I type, the kitten is curled up in the crook of my left arm.

Some animals just seem to exude gratefulness.

Any idea of a name would be appreciated.

I was going to go with Frank, but I can't tell. Probably need a unisex name at this point.

Cheers, GLP!

ETA: pic of DR's kitty...

They're irresistible and demand so little. Nothing will lower your blood pressure faster than snuggling a purring kitty.

I think kitties need two names. Do you have a pic?

You must get some pipecleaners. They go nuts for those things! And a laser pointer. And some catnip, don't forget the nip.

Cats are awesome. You're in for a real treat!

Re: Rescued a Kitten Today
Some cats are perfect with the litterbox their entire lives, some aren't. For the ones that aren't, they need to be trained right from the get-go or its a lifetime of bad habits. [I had a roommate place newspaper around the litterbox, then he tried to throw it away later on in the paper recycling box... which proceeded to train his kitty to pee in the paper recycling box too. What a fool...]

Be sure to get her a scratch board or something else to tear up [so your furniture doesn't take the abuse]. You'll probably have to keep out a sharp eye for anything your cat starts scratching though and nip it in the bud. I use clear packing tape to stop my cat from scratching the areas that I do not want her to.

Mmmmkay...

The 'holes' under the tail are closer together in the female than the male.

On the male, at your kitties age, there may be the beginnings of nad-bumps between the big poohole and little peehole.

Take a sneaky peek to clear up the him/her thing.

Re: Rescued a Kitten Today
Nice!

Cute kitty, but you realize it's all downhill from here, don't you? The tripping over their sprawled bodies when trying to take a pee in the middle of the night. The gakking. The constant clean-up. Then the smell right after they take a dump. And then there's that other smell, but hell ...

... I love the smell of ammonia in the morning!

But then they jump in your lap and start to purr and you get over it and turn into mush.

Not good with names, but if I have a brainstorm I'll post it.

Good job.

I only suggested it because I was drinking wine. When I was young, my cousin had a cat and named it "Icy: The Right Hand of Satan." They called her Icy for short, but I always laughed at the name.

On a serious note, I would personally name it "Sable" if it's a girl, and "Onyx" if it's a boy.
