The Euro and UK are lining up as first to get clobbered. Some of that Euro money will flow into the US. We still have the largest economy in the world by a wide margin and the biggest military. The USD is still rising so wait. You can get alot of mileage out of top notch gold and silver companies as well. Buy the ones that have huge proven reserves and have less than 5% debt to equity. |

As an Englishman, I deal in Pounds Sterling, so I want to get rid of them for tangible PMs, preferably gold. Gold, and silver, have always been, and probably will always be, stores a real wealth. I should have bought physical gold last year, damn it. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 971481Where it will be fairly valued remains to be seen but I think it could easily double this year. I can see gold north of $2000 by year end, certainly. I think I've got to buy pretty soon. I think we've reached a point where it is time to just sit back and hold our positions for a little while. I really think both gold and silver will become explosive. |

Look, I'm not some dork who has only found out about gold and silver recently. I've been following them for years, and I'm pretty much "all in" the mining shares. I have a bit of cash left over, and I'm beginning to think I should bag some physical gold, as insurance. UK gold sovereign coins are recognised worldwide as money, plus they are VAT-free, and have no capital gains tax liability in the UK. That's what I'm going to do next week - buy sovereigns! |

I try to keep about 100 ounces of gold on hand but its hard because I do sell it. I dont deal in bullion (scares the fuck out of me) so I have to buy numismatic coins. I sold 1 gold coin for $35,000 yesterday and this coin weighed less than an ounce. I will be replacing it with another and with the profit, several more $20 gold coins. I get lucky once and a while. |

I followed advise here one year ago and bought 16 ounce gold, 330 ounce silver. Do you guys still think that buying today is still good idea? Get a bit shaky now and then when I see the prices today and get the urge to sell although I know I should not. I think I will hold (consider it my daughter's heritage) but do not know whether or not to continue to buy at these prices....Thoughts appreciated. |

I cant get myself to buy bullion thats for sure. I guess if you have enough cash to hold you for several years you might buy more but think of it as insurance only. I think gold goes much higher I really do but you have to admit the dollars rally is pretty impressive and a reminder that no matter what these dollar bears on GLP say, the dollar remains the world reserve currency for now. |
