Who made stupidest remark, Obama or BP man?
I think that two of the stupidest remarks of all time were made by Obama and an executive from BP.

Obama's stupid remark was that it isn't necessary to return to the moon because "we've already been there." Who says you can't go to a place more than once?

The BP man's remark was that the oil spill can't be too serious because it is small compared to the rest of the ocean. That's like saying that a hydrogen bomb isn't too dangerous because it's way smaller than the sun!

So which one of these remarks was the stupidest? Who wins the idiot prize, Obama or the BP man?

BP man hands down! I agree with Obama on this we have much more important things to worry about right now than returning to the moon.

$3 billion a year extra to the NASA budget in order to be able to complete the Constellation program to the Moon in...

20 years.

$60 billion extra spent, the year 2030, yay we've made the moon, its 1969 again. We need to keep spending billions more to stay there though and move on to Mars.

Cost and time is what brought Constellation down.

YOU WANT THE STUPIDEST REMARK?

3 weeks before the oil disaster in the gulf.

Sarah Palin.

"After inheriting a good pro-development GOP plan that opened up both coasts for drilling, the Obama administration halted development ... and now we're gonna study, more study of the South Atlantic and parts of the Gulf of Mexico ... my goodness, folks, these areas have been studied to death ... I have seen so many, many studies! I say, let's send the White House this message: that, you know, we can save taxpayer time, save money and announce: there is oil and gas down there, and we can produce it safely and responsibly! We don't need more studies, we need more action! Because energy produced in America is security for America, and it is jobs for American workers, jobs that can't be outsourced. Let's drill baby, drill, not stall, baby, stall!"

At the 15 minute mark.

My own answer to the question would be that both remarks are equally dumb. If either remark had been made by Sarah Palin, the news media would never have given her a moment's peace.

By the way, I think your avatar is really weird. It's sort of hypnotic. I had trouble looking away.

I see someone has already posted about Sarah Palin. That wasn't there when I started my last post.

I agree that her remarks about oil drilling don't show much brains, but she seems to take more flak for it than other stupid people.
