This does sound like TPTB's way to lower the number of U.S. Troops so when the U.N. decides to attack the u.S.A. from Haiti they will have less forces to contend with. (and those forces that will eventually head back to the u.S.A will take a bit to get there). Doesn't look good for Americans. Camp Fema, here we come! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 976338But this time it's confirmed by the army... [link to www.wavy.com] NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Navy announced Tuesday that more than 6,000 sailors from the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group are scheduled to leave Friday on a six-month deployment to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations. The Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm. Patrick Driscoll, includes Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CCSG) 10; the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75); Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW) 3; Commander, Destroyer Squadron 26 (CDS 26); the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), and guided-missile destroyers USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81), USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79), USS Ross (DDG 71) and the German Frigate FGS Hessen (F221). The Harry S. Truman, Normandy, Winston S. Churchill, Oscar Austin, and Ross are based at Naval Station Norfolk. Carrier Air Wing Three is based at Naval Air Station Oceana. According to the Navy, the deployment is part of an on-going rotation of forward-deployed forces to support maritime security operations and operating in international waters around the globe, working with other coalition maritime forces. Sailors from the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group have spent the last four months completing refresher training and certifications in preparations for this deployment. Nothing abnormal at all about this deployment. What you put in bold at the bottom is what happens before every carrier deploys, CQ for pilots, bluewater op certifications, etc. The article lists one Carrier, and the support ships that deploy with ever Carrier task force, or battle group, whatever the fuck they call them now-a-days. If you ever see 5 Carriers in the Persian gulf, someone will be fired. And if there are 5 deplyed to the med, and one or two in the gulf, the ragheads in Iran better start worrying, and kissing their collective asses goodbye. |
