Commentators at the OPs link are suggesting the cameras feedback is just looping old video feed.

I wouldn't put it past them.


If the writers premise is/was correct, you can bet dollars to donuts that they would feed us a film loop, and not a real time video. They will never tell us how bad this leak is, or the possibilities that an oil volcano is forming.
