Like the title says, my husband and I have to live off of 40 bucks for the next two weeks, he has a job and I work from home but his pay check was really small this week and my job isn't paying very well right now either (both commission jobs)

It freaking sucks and I just needed to vent.


You can make a lot of awesome good food that we easily last two weeks for two for $40.. How bout smoking two 10lb pork shoulders? Eat that pulled pork with bread and beans, good stuff, 20lbs of food with money to spare!



Like I said it's not a food issue, it's a gasoline issue.

A list of CHEAP food that can fit in your budget and last weeks:

1. Cup O Noodles
All you do is add water then put in the microwave and it is done and that fills me up most the time and they come in a 8 pack for 4 dollars!



Don't microwave the Styrofoam! Add Already boiling water to the cup!

What are your surroundings like...there could be a WHOLE lot to gather....


There are a lot of black berry bushes I know that much, I've been secretly planting seeds around the neighborhood for a year now trying to get some food to grow in the wild (just in case) but so far no luck.

Dandylion? Ladies mantle? Seriously get an edible field guide..it will only increase in value in the coming times.
