Giaman I am in a group here on GLP, we are now five strong, we still need to find five others in hopes of reconstructing the Templar Knights, Book of Love. I am still here on the backgound sometimes..
although not in the best shape anymore. The clock is ticking not just for me but all of us. I saw the situation in France that we are seeing now much earlier. Somewhere I wrote it down here, although I expected it sooner. It will lead to new elections in France. There will be a new President and new laws will be written with a different Pen. The violence will spread to other European countries. In America, too, a new or perhaps rather an old wind will blow. Where the churches are empty, they will fill again.

I ask myself why I am slowly starting to write here again at this time. To be honest, I don't know exactly, but something told me to do this once in a while, although it will be less frequent than in previous long years from 2005. During that time I had happy years but also my downs. The last year has been tough for me with 2 weeks in hospital last August after a double cerebral infarction. A month after I came back from the hospital, my wife was rushed to the same hospital and underwent emergency surgery for a tumor in her intestine. Unfortunately, there were plenty of complications during that operation. Moments later, she woke up in the intensive care unit. Everything the chief surgeon told me went past me. The way an assistant doctor looked into my eyes told me more than all those medical terms from the chief surgeon. I knew it wouldn't get any better. Many told me to think more positively, and of course I never said that to my wife because I didn't want to deprive her of hope. It became an agony for her and for me to have to watch it every day. I will never forget that look of that assistant doctor without him saying something. Long story short she has spent the last 3 months at home with me and the dogs. A golden retriever and a small westie. In the beginning she could still go to our garden, which is full of butterfly plants. She adored butterflies, especially the Monarch butterfly. Outside the weather was lovely every day between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. Until she stopped going to the garden because she couldn't anymore. On June 1st she passed away around 6pm with me and the dogs by her side. The garden door was open and an hour after she left, a monarch butterfly flew into the living room and sat on our golden retriever's head. I knew it was good and she was put out of her misery and found her peace. Again why I'm writing all this here now, I really wouldn't know. Maybe she whispered to me. And about that gratitude I wrote about in a previous post,

It's better to lose something, better to lose than never to have it.

Thank you for your condolences. I have been reading and studying near death experiences for a long time. Actually from the moment Raymond Moody started writing about it. One of my favorite movies in this area is What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams. Impressive movie.

Gaia Man, my condolonces. The monarch butterly on your dog's head was a touching story. My grandmother passed last year and this year on Mother's day a cardinal singing its morning song woke me up. It stayed around my house that day and the next. I live in the heart of a city in the States and never see cardinals in my neighborhood, so felt her presense which was so nice. Wish you the best. Thanks for coming back and posting.

It is good to "see" you back here Gaia Man. I am sorry for your loss.

Before my good friend (we were kindred spirits) passed away I asked her to send me a sign. A dragonfly. It was the end of February when she passed so there would normally not be any dragonflies. But lo and behold at the beginning of March I was sitting at my desk in my studio (she was also an artist) and there hovering outside my studio window was a very large dragonfly. It stayed there for many, many seconds as if to make sure that I knew it was her. I also had many other signs from her over the course of about a week. I saw a painting truck with her granddaughter's name (Amira, not a common name) on it. She loved peacocks. I went to our local park that she and I often visited and was stunned. There had to be 50-60 peacocks there all in one place. And when I went to sit by the ocean, the colours of everything were amazingly enhanced. I know it was her!

I hope you find peace and live a long life my friend.
