I´m in the Upstate and familar with the area.

fwiw, Feds appear to be ´preparing´ the area. For example there is a Fed couple overseers on the old tree farm in Tamassee in Oconee County, just north of Highway 11. No more trees being planted and it looks like roads have been surveyed over the property. The couple said that it was to prepare for classrooms to teach forestry to students. The Tree Farm has been sitting there at least five years like this.

The back road into the tree farm has been barracaded and there is a mobile home at the gate with a couple who are the ´gatekeepers´. His: long pony-tail, bandana and Hers: long hair and backwoods looking. Flying a confederate flag which fits the area. Anyone who drives up, they immediately come out and approach the vehicle. This is not private property, but public. No signs.

The old Tree Farm would be a great place to put ´stackable´ housing units, or a tent city if needed for disaster housing.

Another place, on the road up the mountain to Rosman, north of Highway 11 in Pickens County, up in the area off-road is closed off and no longer accessible to hikers, hunters, off-roaders, etc. People say Feds are back up in there but no one knows what for.

Three years ago, when upstate SC was in the middle of a severe drought and people were concerned about the low lake levels, an hydrologist from the State was speaking at a public meeting and said "Don´t worry about the low lake levels, the flood is coming and may give you some concern." I asked for the meaning of that statement, and the department head jumped up and said, "It´s all mathematical and which means that everything has to go back to Zero at some point and there is no other explanation."
