Gaia Man, I had a really strange dream the other night about a volcano erupting. I also remember the name of it, Toba. Have you seen anything about Toba? Hi 14546, Toba Volcano was destroyed by a huge eruption 78000 years ago [ link to www.andaman.org] nowadays all there is left is a lake with two dormant volcanoes on Sumatra. This eruption almost caused mankind to be extinguished, as can be seen from the genetical bottleneck in human mitochondrial DNA. On the other hand, there is also a city in Japan called Toba. Can you give some details of what you saw about Toba? Sy It was a very strange dream. There were big explosions coming from this volcano and pyroclastic flows, but I was moving TOWARDS it, although I was very scared in the dream. It seemed to be a mountain that was erupting, so that would rule out Toba I suppose as it's a caldera, but I clearly got the name Toba in the dream. It wasn't in full eruption in my dream, but I had the sense it was going to blow any minute. I need a couple of weeks off this bloody forum!
