You can try to achieve an higher spiritual fulfillment without being still. How are you gonna do that being still in a shelter scenery, while people are being tortured, enslaved and murdered. While children are dying because of malnutrition and privation of basic medical attention. Do you even expect to "enter those portals" by being still???!!
