Back to your argument - a childish, hippocrate response, no better than America's gun lobby's. You surely can do better.
Guns have no other purpose than to kill beings - be it animals or men. But science exists just to research and to know. And the hammer is produced to work as a tool, and not to hurt or to kill someone. So my argument wasn't childish in any way. Remember: We could not discuss with one another in this moment if the internet didn't arise from computer science. You can use the internet to watch porn and violence sites, or you can use it to get some valuable information and education. You cannot compare that to guns, because its only aim is to destroy life, as it is with all modern weapons.

Unimportant, you have no real knowledge or very little, so you grab the next best thing that appears before you - science. Science offers you a convenient way to what you call knowledge - but that is what it is not. All of science is a construct of theorems and axioms trying to explain what is, excluding mostly what indeed IS but doesn't fit.Even, when coming up with something simple as mankind's own "evolution" your so called science fails miserably, constantly correcting itself as soon as something is discovered that doesn't quite fit. Same with astrophysics, same with, same with, etc, etc. You seem to "adore" mathematics, either you are not aware or do not want to know that it is the artificial construct par excellence, impotent to explain anything real whatsoever!
So, does all this pseudo knowledge satisfy you? No need to look for REAL knowledge? Oh, btw, there are other ways and means to "discuss with one another", completely science free <grin>. But then, you wouldn't know as you are not advanced enough to participate. So for now, please stick with science, at least it provides you with an easy explanation for some things, that you can believe in. As I said before, the only outstanding job science really does is trying to explain away what doesn't fit. So keep it, I don't want it, I wasted 3 years of my life getting familiar with your science at university doing Physics, just to find out what science really is.
Lastly, who pays for your scientific research or pays for what specifically is researched and for what purposes? I have noticed that you conveniently ignored to respond. Never mind, the guy who called you a grasshopper was right: you ARE a grasshopper. Even grasshoppers grow up, some day....:-)
