AMERICAN's You have no right to tip that mug of beer or raise that flag......
If you don't exercise you rights by standing up, being heard, and voting.

Today we honor those in this country who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. They gave life and limb never to return to their families and sit in their yards to have a few cold ones. They did their part for freedom. What have you done?

What have you done for freedom?

Before you raise a toast or a flag think on that. We ALL have a responsibility to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and the best way to honor them is by not letting OUR freedom slip away.

Apathy is our destruction.

I believe that on Memorial day the most honorable thing an average American can do is register to vote, and get involved!

Thank you.

It makes no difference who you vote for - the two parties are really one party representing four percent of the people - Vidal

The idea that a vote actually matters in this country is naive. Our system has become so corrupt and corporate-controlled it's but a shadow of the democracy designed by the founding fathers.

No, what we need is a bloody revolution. THAT'S how change is going to happen.

Yes didn't they by-pass the voting process during the Gore/Bush election?

And when you really think about it, when is any election really a good one? Seriously you have two parties, neither of which are offering anything 'real' since both have their petty personal agendas that usually end up taking the money from your pocket and putting it in theirs.

I registered to vote when I was 18, I have voted for nearly every election, a few exceptions such as the years I was over seas (not presidential election years).

And what is to say with millions of voters that the ballot box is actually counted and the tallied votes are used to pick the person for the job? Can you prove it?

I don't know about the IQ thing, but the freedom we enjoy today was bought & paid for by so many willing to make any sacrifice required.

They died w/ honor.

I cannot in good conscience support a military that is used to invade other countries for the purpose of empire building. If we had a military that was only used to defend our nation's borders from foreign attack, like the Swiss Army for example, I would support it wholeheartedly and even serve it it. We haven't had an honorable military since at least WW2. Soldiers fighting ad dying since then have done so in vain, and have done nothing for my freedom.
