Its like driving your car with a bad oil leak. It runs out and the engine gets hot & dry.

Then, the engine will throw a rod and you get a really loud sound that goes, "clunk clunk clunk" plus lotsa smoke.

The car is a total loss unless you sell it for scrap/parts.

The planet itself will get along just fine and will adapt. We will destroy our habitat, and cease to exist.

We live on this rock and depend on Her, she does not depend on us.

Planet lived for millions of centuries before us, and will continue to live a couple of million more after we have destroyed OUR habitat.

I've had similar thoughts since the BP fiasco. Oil is a tectonic lubricant, no a fossil fuel as the world has been lead to believe.

Yes there have been thousands of changes in the earth including her weather and environment over the millions of years but it has never before had the intense use of its resources before and man made change in so short a time, this is whats bad and scary as we cant fix it , peace xx.

Yes, you are right. Father says that the use of oil was only supposed to be temporary, but the black brotherhoods have stopped the flow of new technologies that would have made the use of oil obsolete before it could do this much damage. They are not nice people. But there time is coming and soon.

Yea, I have once pondered that oil is crust grease, or atleast a very import part of the planetary structure.

Some say it is limitless, as an argument against 'peak oil' or oil shortages being the cause of high prices.

Question:

If abiotic oil theory is unproven, how can we build on that theory? How can we infer an amount of availability?

Don't worry new technologies will be released soon. George and his buddies cannot hold up thing forever. Even they will see what there current level of greed, power, and control is not sustainable. In addition, in the Electrical Universe train of thought, the Earth is a huge oil filled capacitor. Just pondering what the effect will be over time as the capacitance diminishes.
