what i dont understand is why after a good cleaning ,they let these birds and turtles back out into the wild? . just to repeat the thing all over again!

i really would like a answer to this ,does any know the answer?

i would imagine the oil is inside these pelicans...in their lungs...digestive tract.
pretty well doomed.
