Rena User ID: 991483 United States 06/04/2010 03:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can you find polk root in your area? If you can, take the polk root and berries, boil them for half an hour, let sit until cool, remove foliage. Stand in the bathtub, splash it all over your body, but be careful not to get it into your eyes. It will sting, but take it as long as you can, then rinse. Do this repeatedly if needed. You will find relief from the itching right away, but may need to repeat until all the scabies are dead. Good luck, I wish you the best. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 991995 United States 06/04/2010 04:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1. Soap up all affected areas of your body, while standing in a bathtub. Liquid soap would be good, milder okay because skin is already irritated (like ivory body wash or baby shampoo). Any soap will work-even bar soap. Lather up and apply to all the places that have bumps or itching. Fill the bathtub with water as hot as you can stand to be in. Soak in the tub for a minimum of 20 minutes with the affected body parts submerged. Rinse off. You may want to do this more than once. 2. You need to get rid of the scabies in your bedding, sofas, chairs, pillows_ anything with stuffed upholstering in it. a. Matress-the cheapest way would be to buy a plastic cover with a zipper that will encase your matress. Wash all bedding in as hot water as possible for the type fabric will allow. Letting it soak works well if you have your own washer. Wash your clothing the same way. Add some white vinegar and allow it to soak for an hour or more, then turn on wash cycle and allow it to finish. Then add laundry detergent and wash it again. An alternative would be to use a blow up matress to sleep on and get rid of the matress. b. Stuffed furniture-Use FRONTLINE CAT Flea spray on the furniture. This is a product that is prescription strength and can be bought at pet supply stores or online. It isn't cheap, but will kill bugs. Only use products that say they are for use on CATS, because cats lick themselves and these products are safer to use. The stuff that they have for dogs might kill you, too! Don't ever use any insectcide on your body, only on furniture and carpet. You can also spray Frontline on your matress before sealing it in the plastic covering. c. Have you tried head lice medications? They are sold everywhere. They are safe to use as directed. You can use it on your skin, other than your scalp. d. Keep using whatever medications you've been prescribed. e. Take pain medicine for the itching (asprin, tylanol, advil, ect) Have patience and good luck beating this! |

The only way they can hatch is if you have a poor diet. Scabies is the human form of the mange. Eat better and you will get rid of the infestation. Now ya got me itching just thinking about it. |

Did you wash EVERYTHING (sheets, towels, clothing, kitchen towels, etc) in hot, hot water? Did you leave your mattress out in the sun 2 days in a row, flipping every 2-3 hours to let the UV kill the mites? Did you use the carpet stuff correctly on ALL of your carpeting? Did you forbid use of the upholstered furniture even by the family dog for 3 days? Did everyone in your family (household) seek the treatment together, even if they are not presenting symptoms? Yes the doctor gives you an insecticide, because you are being attacked by microscopic insects. However you have to make certain you kill all the mites in your environment. This also includes personal hygiene tools like combs and brushes. These things have to be washed at a temperature of at least 120F. Further, you need to tell everyone you have slept with that you have scabies and that they need to see a doctor at the first sign of the condition. Further, you need to refrain from sex for about a week while you are under treatment and after (allowing the eggs to die) This will help in preventing you swapping scabies with your sex partner. Your bed, bedding and pillows either need to be replaced, washed in hot water or allows to sun on all/both sides for at least 24 hours - meaning two days of full bright sunlight so the UV can kill the eggs/larva and adult scabies mite that is in there. It will also kill most of the other bugs that naturally occur in your bedding. If all or some of this is news to you, then your doctor didn't do his/her job and tell you everything you need to do. It is important to all the cream to your entire naked body below the neck at night...and then sleep on clean sheets and mattress for a long time12 hrs. is good. when you get up don't rush to shower or bathe, kill a few more hours so the medecine in the cream can soak deeper into the epidermis where is will kill the scabies and their eggs. After 3 days the symptoms will gradually disappear. A second treatment will do the job if needed. |

Not to mention, the doctor approved prescribed treatment is Permethrin cream, which is an insecticide and very bad for your skin/body. Mine keeps coming back. It's driving me fucking nuts. Anyone who has had scabies would know how it feels physically and mentally. If you've never had it there is no point in me writing a detailed paragraph of the extreme shittiness of it all. I came accross a couple sites that claimed to cure it in a very well written essay before you finally find that you have to sign up for all this shit and spend over a hundred dollars. I need to figure this out. I'm going to go back to the clinic tomorrow but I feel like glp could maybe help me. I am so fucking desperate and my life a lot of the time seems unworth to keel living. The people who I have had sex with/come in to contact with do NOT have it. They were all checked and have no symptoms. This has been going on since January. The multiple doctors told me I got it sexually because I have the red flesh colored bumps on the head of my penis(not on the shaft). I get mosquito or hive looking bumps on my pelvis/hip bones and my feet, wrists, palms, butt, arms, thighs - these itch, my penis doesn't. Please help me :( QWELL |

I never thought I would see the day when they let these bugs run rampant in the USA because one idjit put lice medicine on her baby overnight and it had a bad reaction.I do NOT undestand what the agenda is here other than introducing the US to a 2nd world life so we get used to the degradation of the lower class. Pyrethrin, permethrin, whatever. Only racehorses and elite's animals get the stuff that kills the bugs. So much suffering, for the agenda. Sorry to hear your trouble. Anonymous Coward User ID: 970352 United States 06/04/2010 06:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | By Mayo Clinic staff Folliculitis Folliculitis occurs when hair follicles become infected, often with Staphylococcus aureus or other types of bacteria. Certain variations of folliculitis are also known as hot tub folliculitis and barber's itch. Severe infections can cause permanent hair loss and scarring, and even mild folliculitis can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. The infection usually appears as small, white-headed pimples around one or more hair follicles — the tiny pockets from which each hair grows. Most cases of folliculitis are superficial, and they may itch, but on occasion they're painful too. Superficial folliculitis often clears by itself in a few days, but deep or recurring folliculitis may need medical treatment. 0.Folliculitis. Completely immerse yourself in it except not your eyes and nose or mouth for a few seconds so your hair gets some of the bath water. Scabies and Lice hates Tea Tree Oil. Do that for a couple of weeks. Wash your bed sheets in hot water with bleach and soap. Take your blanket and pillows and tumble them in the dryer for 20 minutes under regular cycle to kill the scabies or lice from the heat, you don't need to wash them, just the 20 minute tumble heat will kill them. Spray your bed and surrounding carpet with lice or scabies spray. Good luck to you. |
