Corexit 9500 Dispersant Is Killing Life In The Gulf Of Mexico
Something needs to be done about BP using this dispersant, or I am afraid that people will start to die along with the life in the Gulf of Mexico, because of its deadly toxicity. Important information, which should have been given more attention, is not being addressed enough, in the propaganda media. agumball

Re: Corexit 9500 Dispersant Is Killing Life In The Gulf Of Mexico
So why aren't they letting the straw guy soak it up?

Saw the CEO of a company demonstrate it last night on the news. It does soak up most of it. He said it has been used all over the world in other spillages.

There was also a CEO of a company that vacuums it up and separates the water from the oil and then puts the water back into the ocean.

Neither one could get in to see anyone at BP or even in the federal government.

Neither one of these things will stop the leak but at least it can cut down on the spillage that is rushing towards the shores and killing all wildlife and ocean life along the way.

That is why I am starting to think that this oil spill was done on purpose for some reason that makes no sense to me, no matter how hard I take a look at the whole situation.

If people start to die off, well, then we know the reason why.
did you read the thread about a second leak? Also a video with it, seems like they're poring dispersants into that one aswell.
Quite disturbing all of it. And the deepwater leak is still going...... weird indeed....

I agree the spill was intentional as evidenced by the unwillingness to take any effective action to clean up or stop the spill. Plus, they are intentionally adding to the problem by using corexit.

Seems the goals is to create a massive environmental disaster and then use it as an excuse to push a future agenda for....?

I am willing to bet that within the next 8 to 10 months there will be many people, who have been trying to clean up the gulf, without the proper hazmat type suit, gloves, and breathing apparatus, will end up in the hospital on a breathing machine.

As far as another oil leakage down below, yes there is, and it will make this spill a whole lot worse, til it's over, which could be years from now, at this rate.

Re: Corexit 9500 Dispersant Is Killing Life In The Gulf Of Mexico
A newer Corexit recipe dubbed the "9500 formula" contains dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, a detergent chemical that's also found in laxatives. What do you suppose happens to the marine ecosystem when fish and sea turtles ingest this chemical through their gills and skin? And just as importantly, what do you think happens to the human beings who are working around this chemical, breathing in its fumes and touching it with their skin?

The answers are currently unknown, which is exactly why it is so inexcusable that Nalco and the oil industry giants would for so long refuse to disclose the chemical ingredients they're dumping into the Gulf of Mexico in huge quantities (over a million gallons dumped into the ocean to date).

I would not be surprised in the least if we start seeing a huge jump in cancer cases over the next 5-10 yrs down in the south.

For lots of links regarding what COREXIT is made of and why it is 4 times more toxic than the oil, go to this GLP link from yesterday:

Re: Corexit 9500 Dispersant Is Killing Life In The Gulf Of Mexico
I'm sure it's made from or is directly some sort of toxic manufacturing waste that would otherwise cost a fortune to get rid of. So they slap on a fancy name, create a never-ending oil spill to pump it all in the gulf, and probably charge the taxpayers somehow while they're at it.

Same principle as fluoride in your water.
