Quoting: Anonymous Coward 984780It's more than a trilogy, there must be about 12 of them. After the elder Herbert died, his son used his notes and took over and started writing prequels. But, yeah, if you like sci-fi, Dune is the ultimate. Start with Dune (not the prequels). |

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance- that principle is contempt prior to investigation." -Herbert Spencer |

Excellent. (Non-fiction, however, and not the lightest read around.) As are the Incarnations of Immortality series. Haven't read Eon yet... looks like I'll have to take a run at it! I'm surprised there's one not mentioned. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 998958If you want a great sci-fi page turner that will refuse to be put down its gotta be "Enders Game" by Orson Scott Card. Super fun read. About the same level as battlefield earth(book) not the movie, However For a true nerd I recommend "The Moon is a harsh mistress" by the same author as "Stranger in a strange land".Robert Heinlein, i think. Tesla was A great source of inspiration and the subject is well published. You need more money. |
