Silent Running: hide out in the cellar
Take the children and yourself
And hide out in the cellar
By now the fighting will be close at hand
Donīt believe the church and state
And everything they tell you
Believe in me, Iīm with the high command

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

Thereīs a gun and ammunition
Just inside the doorway
Use it only in emergency
Better you should pray to God
The Father and the Spirit
Will guide you and protect you from up here

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

Swear allegiance to the flag
Whatever flag they offer
Never hint at what you really feel
Teach the children quietly
For some day sons and daughters
Will rise up and fight while we stood still

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
(Oh, can you hear me running?)
Can you hear me (can you hear me?), can you hear me running?
(Hear me calling, calling...)
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
(Oh can you hear, can you hear me calling?)
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

Queen - A Night at the Opera (44:11)
Released 1975.11.21 (EMI(UK),ELEKTRA(US))

05 - ī39 (03:31) - Brian May

In the year of ī39 assembled here the Volunteers
In the days when lands were few
Here the ship sailed out into the blue and sunny morn
The sweetest sight ever seen.

And the night followed day
And the story tellers say
That the score brave souls inside
For many a lonely day sailed across the milky seas
Neīer looked back, never feared, never cried.

Donīt you hear my call though youīre many years away
Donīt you hear me calling you
Write your letters in the sand
For the day I take your hand
In the land that our grandchildren knew.

In the year of ī39 came a ship in from the blue
The Volunteers came home that day
And they bring good news of a world so newly born
Though their hearts so heavily weigh
For the earth is old and grey, to a new home weīll away
But my love this cannot be
For so many years have gone though Iīm older but a year
Your motherīs eyes in your eyes cry to me.

Donīt you hear my call though youīre many years away
Donīt you hear me calling you
All the letters in the sand cannot heal me like your hand

For my life
Still ahead
Pity me.

"ī39" holds the interesting distinction of being the 39th album track originally released on a Queen album. It tells the story of a man who travels from Earth to colonize a new world and experiences the phenomenom of Einstienīs Special Theory of Relativity (which states that time slows down the closer you get to the speed of light). As such, he ages only one year as the Earth ages about 100 years, so his family and loved one are long dead upon his return, though their descendants survive. This track was written by guitarist Brian May, who was an astronomy buff.

----

The funny part is that is almost exactly what is really going on (in parable).
