this is quite interesting, however I think that perhaps there is yet again another interpretation to be considered
there is, I agree, a message within the circles
this is an attempt at communication
but it is also an attempt at kick-starting consciousness
using a syntax that would be familiar
where you see a point to Escher in this I see programming syntax

perhaps a countdown
perhaps another alogrithmic message
to decode something from an external source
alien, as it were
one must be able to think objectivelly

what if these are NOT alien
what if this is US trying to reach US
trying to throw ourselves a bone, extra dimensional or extra reality - what does it matter?

I applaud your delving into looking at these in the manner you have, I too search for a way to unlock the mysteries and the messages in my own way
